Spring is coming - a few tips to save you money and time!!!

Last Autumn the garden should have been cleared of debris and green waste and so you can now enjoy the site of Spring bulbs and flowers. If not it is still not too late for a quick clearance so that the scene is set for an enjoyable Spring.

Key tips:

1. Only plant your bedding flowers when you are sure that the frosty nights are over (saves money)
2. Do any additional weeding now when their growth rate is stunted (saves time later on)
3. Plan your major garden jobs over the weekend in two hour sessions (then have a cup of tea)
4. Don't try major tree work unless you are trained to use machinery (saves limbs)
5. Call the professionals out only if you know that you will not be able to manage (saves time and energy)

One of the best things in my life is to sit and enjoy the garden for what it is.... a place for reading the newspaper, listening to the radio and playing footie/tag with the kids. But I know it won't last as I need to paint the fence, mow the grass, clear the cat poo....
